Building Relationship with Empowering Your Communication

A good communication is one way to building a good relationship, for your family life, or even business. Being an effective speaker can give you more chance to make a good lobbying, getting a better deal, or even just making friend with great people.

I my self often having difficulty when I have to stand in front of a crowd and say something meaningful, or even something silly. But hey, we have to keep learning to improve ourself, right.

When you feel the same way, here are some tips I found to empowering your communication. It’s pretty simple and easy to do.

Share what you know
If you want to be an effective speaker, you must able to share what you know and that means you always have to keep learning, even when we know that we all have our limitations.

Listening
It’s not just listening to other people, but also trying to understand, and give them your attention. When you be a good listener you will gain somethings new to share with other.

Humility
When speaking in a group, don’t be afraid to ask when there’s something that you don’t understand.

Eye Contact
It’s an important to making eye contact with your audience, so you can show your listener that you give them a full attention. In a large group, try to keep focus when you talking.

Kidding around
When your listeners starting to get bored, try to add a little bit of humor, so you will get their attention back, and your listener will feel that you’re just as approachable.

Be like the rest of them
Interaction is all about mingling with other people. You'll get a lot of ideas, as well as knowing what people make them as they are.

Me, Myself, and I
It’s as important as listening to other, you also need to listen to your own voice. Practicing your speech in front of a mirror can help you to improve your speaking.

With a smile
Expressing what you mean to say better with a smile. Just like an eye contact, people are much easier to listen when you use a friendly gesture, like smile.

A Role Model
Surely there are some people that you consider as a good speaker. Even when they read their lines, you still can taking a mental note on how they emphasize what they say and how they gain the public attention.

Preparation
A good preparation is a half way to success. Remember to not make it to be just scribbing notes in a hurried panic, write your points or lines orderly, so you can always keep up with what you say.

These tips are amateurish, I realize, but I think it can help us when it comes the time to public or private speaking. Don’t forget to be with people and listen how they make conversation.
